Fulton County Will Offer Housing Rehab Assistance

Atlanta, GA--  Homeowners in need of a loan to fund repairs to "substandard residential properties", have until March 31st to submit their Pre-Application for assistance.  Due to a federally funded program the Fulton County Department of Housing and Human Services can offer county residents assistance in the form of a grant or loan.

Homes are eligible for County assistance if they are located in the unincorporated areas of the County or in one of the nine (9) participating municipalities (College Park, Hapeville, Union City, Alpharetta, Roswell, Mountain Park, Fairburn, East Point and Palmetto).

Eligibility Rules:  Must be a single-family.  Must be owner-occupied. Owner must have a low or moderate income.

NOTE:  Homeowner income eligibility is not determined during the pre-application process.  It is determined when the pre-application is selected from the waiting list and is based on annual HUD approved income guidelines.

Pre-Application Forms are available on the Fulton County website at www.fultoncountyga.gov.  Pre-applications are also available for pick up at all Fulton County libraries, senior centers, and multi purpose facilities.

Once completed, all pre-application must be mailed to the Fulton County Office of Housing, 277 East Broad Street, Fairburn, Georgia 30213 and postmarked no later than by March 31, 2011.
