Atlanta, GA--  (submitted by Atlanta Airport)  The communities and neighborhoods surrounding the Atlanta Airport should breathe easier today, as the airport just launched a new environmentally friendly fleet of busses.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport officials rolled out 18 new compressed natural gas (CNG) shuttle buses this morning. The spacious, environmentally friendly CNG buses replace the gasoline-powered vehicles that had served the Airport’s Park-Ride lots.

EPA awarded Atlanta with a Grant to Assess Contaminated sites in Need of Cleanup

Atlanta, GA--  The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Friday that the City of Atlanta is one of 23 communities around the U.S. selected for award under the Brownfields Area-Wide Planning Pilot Program. The Atlanta Development Authority, together with the City of Atlanta and with assistance from the Georgia Institute of Technology, submitted a proposal to EPA in the spring of 2010.
